Sompasaari, located in the eastern part of Helsinki, is a significant new concentration of residential and office buildings and services. The Ecowec hybrid exchanger is connected to a heat pump that efficiently transfers the heat from the wastewater leaving the property to the new hot water. The system is thus a hybrid system that utilizes district heating and wastewater, which reduces the property’s CO2 emissions and property heating costs.
