Hospitals and universities

The Ecowec hybrid heat exchanger recovers the waste heat from the wastewater, which is abundantly discharged into the sewer network in healthcare properties. Hospitals waste thermal energy in the sewer, e.g. in the form of kitchen, patient room, bed and autoclave wash water from which significant amounts of heat can be recovered.
In connection with the design and construction of hospitals and medical facilities, it is possible to estimate with relative confidence the extent to which the property under construction uses water and how much of the thermal energy needed by the building can be covered by wastewater recycling.
